[0001]
[0002] CHILDREN'S GLASSES AND MANUFACTURING PROCESS
[0003] OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0004]
[0005] The invention, as expressed in the description of the present specification, refers to children's glasses as well as their manufacturing process, providing advantages and novelty characteristics that represent an improvement over what is currently known in the market.
[0006]
[0007] More particularly, the object of the invention focuses on glasses intended for children that have the particularity of being made of a flexible material based on silicone by a thermoforming process, said material being very light but of maximum strength and very stable transparent appearance colors, and that said glasses being of the type that allows the exchange of the temples by an elastic band that fits around the head, they also have an articulation element, also made in said flexible material that advantageously it allows the bending of the rods in both directions of the lugs so that they can flex both towards the inside of the goggle and outwards without being deformed or broken.
[0008]
[0009] FIELD OF APPLICATION OF THE INVENTION
[0010]
[0011] The field of application of the present invention is part of the technical sector of the industry dedicated to the manufacture of glasses.
[0012] BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0013]
[0014] At present, and as a reference to the state of the art, it should be noted that, although there are multiple types and models of glasses on the market, none are known that present the technical characteristics of those proposed herein, as claimed.
[0015]
[0016] EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION
[0017]
[0018] Specifically, the glasses in question have frames that are made, in an innovative way, in flexible material based on silicone and obtained by thermoforming the said material, which, known commercially as Siliflex ™, consists of a polymer thermo-mouldable with very flexible character and maximum resistance to deformation, being at the same time very light, similar to acetate but 35% lighter.
[0019]
[0020] The mounts thus made, also have a transparent appearance that gives the glasses a differentiated aesthetic character with a wide range of colors, which are obtained by including the coloring pigments in the manufacturing process by thermoforming, achieving so they are part of the mass of the pieces that make up this frame and, consequently, they are very stable colors that do not deteriorate with the passage of time.
[0021]
[0022] Following the particularities of the invention, it should be noted, on the other hand, that the aforementioned mounts have at both ends of the lenses, with a system of articulation determined by two zig-zag pieces specially designed with the aim of increasing the flexibility of the glasses, since by means of said pieces, in addition to the conventional folding of the arms towards the inside of the glasses, they allow also and without any kind of suffering for them, their flexion in the opposite direction, that is to say the outer part of the glasses, without this causing any deformation or deterioration, always returning to their normal position in any of those senses, both due to the particular zig-zag structure of these pieces and the siliflex material with which both the pieces and the rods and the rest of the frame are made.
[0023]
[0024] It is worth mentioning that the glasses have a terminal on each of the ends of the rods that, thanks to the flexible material with which they are made, can be adjusted manually to ensure greater support to the head behind the ears. In addition, optionally, said terminals have a hole to be able to fit rings that serve as an attachment to the ends of an elastic band to hold the glasses around the head from the rear.
[0025]
[0026] Also, the possibility of replacing said rods by an elastic band that completely surrounds the head is contemplated, in which case the described rings are coupled just behind the zig-zag pieces of elastic articulation.
[0027]
[0028] In any case, the described child glasses that the present invention proposes constitute, then, an innovative structure of unknown technical and constitutive characteristics.
[0029]
[0030] DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0031]
[0032] To complement the description that is being made of the invention, and to better understand the characteristics that distinguish it, the present specification is attached, as an integral part thereof, of some sheets of drawings, in which the following has been represented:
[0033]
[0034] Figure number 1 shows a perspective view of the glasses object of the invention, in an example of embodiment thereof incorporating at the ends of the rods an elastic band that closes them later to the head.
[0035]
[0036] Figure number 2.- Shows a perspective view of the detail of one of the zig-zag articulation pieces that the glasses have, according to the invention.
[0037]
[0038] Figure 3 shows a perspective view of the detail of the end of one of the rods of the glasses, showing the possibility of adjusting them.
[0039]
[0040] PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0041]
[0042] In view of the aforementioned figures, and in accordance with the numbering adopted, one can see in them a preferred embodiment, but not limiting of the children's glasses object of the invention, which comprise the parts and elements which are indicated and described in detail below.
[0043]
[0044] Thus, as seen in Figure 1, the glasses (1) in question are configured, in a conventional manner, from a frame (2), constituent of the support frame for the lenses (3), on whose lateral ends it has two articulation parts (4) to which are usually attached rods (5), whose distal end consists of a curved terminal (6) to which, optionally, an elastic band (7) is coupled, with the particularity of that both the frame (2) and the rods (5), the terminal (6) and the articulation parts (4) are made of a flexible material based on silicone, specifically Siliflex ™, and obtained by a thermoforming process .
[0045]
[0046] It is important to note that the articulation parts (4), as shown in the detail of Figure 2, are pieces that have a zig-zag configuration that makes it possible to flex them both inside or inside the glasses, as outwards, and consequently, they make possible the flexion inwards or outwards of the rods (5).
[0047]
[0048] In a preferred embodiment, each of said articulation parts (4) has: at one of its ends, a first protrusion (4a) apt to be inserted in a housing provided at the ends of the frame (2); in its central area, a sinuous formation determined by two recesses (4b) on opposite sides thereof separated by a central partition (4c); and at its opposite end and a second protrusion (4d) that is inserted into a housing provided at the end of the rods (5).
[0049] As seen in Figure 3, the terminal (6) of the rods (5) is capable of being adjusted manually, thanks to the material with which it is made, it being provided that it has an orifice (8) for fixing the band elastic (7), which, on the other hand, can optionally consist of a band that is coupled directly behind the articulation parts (4) in replacement of the rods (5).
[0050]
[0051] Having sufficiently described the nature of the present invention, as well as the way of putting it into practice, it is not considered necessary to extend its explanation so that any expert in the field understands its scope and the advantages derived therefrom, stating that, within its essentiality, it may be carried out in other forms of realization that differ in detail from that indicated by way of example, and which will also achieve the protection that is sought provided that it is not altered, changed or modified its fundamental principle .
